Descriptive, typographical, pricing, photography or omission errors may occur in our catalogs and/or this website. Ed's Surplus reserves the right to correct these errors or withdraw the offer. Prices and availability are subject to change at any time without notice. It may be necessary for us to substitute an item with one of equal or greater value that may vary somewhat from our catalog description.

It is the sole responsibility of the customer to check with local authorities on purchase of pepper spray, stun guns, knives, swords and machetes as well as any other hazardous articles offered for sale. Buyer is to ascertain and comply with all applicable local, state and federal laws regarding possession and use of these items. By placing an order, buyer represents that they are of legal age and will use items only in a legal and lawful way.
We are forbidden by law to export any of the following items: Gas Masks, gas mask filters, chemical suits, handcuffs, pepper spray, stun guns, inert hand grenades, night vision equipment, ammo magazines or fuels (solid or liquid).
California Restricted Items: Gas cans without an automatic shutoff device and ballistic helmets.
Federal Trade Commission Warnings: The FTC Act requires that health and safety-related claims, such as claims that a gas mask, respirator or protective clothing can protect against contaminants, including NBC (nuclear, biological, and chemical) contaminants, must be supported by competent and reliable scientific evidence. Ed's Surplus and Survival makes no claims as to the effectiveness of any of the gas masks, respirators, or protective clothing it sells.
The Military Surplus items we sell are just that: Military Surplus. We cannot claim their effectiveness. We only state that they are true Military Surplus and the basic condition the items are in. On non-surplus items, such as the Scott M-95 gas mask, Ed's Surplus only states that these items are newly manufactured and the manufacturer claims the effectiveness of any protection. These manufactures have shown us, Ed's Surplus, test results. We cannot, in any way, supply interpretations of said test results. We can provide a copy of the test results provided to us upon request.
Furthermore, any claims an item meets and or exceeds Military Standards (DOD) is based upon the manufacturers claim to us. Ed's Surplus has no means to scientifically prove or disprove such claims.

If for any reason you are not satisfied with your online purchase, you may return it to us within 30 days of receipt for a refund, replacement or credit. Our return procedure is easy and hassle-free. Each order is mailed with a Return Form. There is no need to call, just fill out the form and mail it along with a copy of your receipt and the unwanted item (for your protection please insure the package). If the return is because we made a mistake, we will even reimburse your surface shipping costs.
We do not reimburse for special handling, charges incurred by using other mail facilities such as Mail Box Ect ... If your replacement item is in stock, it should reach you in 2-3 weeks. (Note: Food items, gas masks, disaster preparedness items, books & videos are not returnable.)

We make every effort to keep all items in stock. In the case of a backorder we will ship the item as soon as it becomes available at no extra shipping charge to you. Many surplus items are available in limited quantities and subject to prior sale. We apologize in advance if the item you want is sold out or backordered. If items needs to be canceled we will notify you.
We are not accepting international orders at this time. We require a U.S. shipping address and a credit card issued by a U.S. bank or institution.
All Washington residents are charged 8.89% sales tax on all non-food items.

We apologize in advance for any unexpected delays. All orders of in stock items are processed and shipped upon receipt. You will be notified immediately of any items that are not in stock for shipment. Normal processing time is 1-4 business days and delivery via UPS is generally 1-6 business days depending on your delivery address.
Transit times may be calculated by visiting UPS.com and originating zip code of 90248. Items from our marine catalogs will ship separately (see marine policies). Most items (except marine) will ship out of or California warehouse. Local pickup is not available when purchasing on website.
Regular shipping rates are calculated based on the following table. A street address is required for us to ship via UPS. For Post Office Boxes and military bases we must ship U.S. Mail and an additional shipping charge may be required.

Please allow at least 6-8 weeks for delivery of all U.S. mail shipments, which include but are not limited to HI, AK, Canada, PR, APO's, FPO's and P.O. boxes. Please note that an additional $10.00 is added to the shipping and handling of all U.S. mail shipments. Additional postage may be due at time of shipping.
NOTE: On overweight or oversized items, an additional Heavy Weight Surcharge may have be added to the price. Due to a web software limitation the Heavy Weight Surcharge has been added to the price instead of the shipping charge. This limitation will be resolved in future versions of our web software. On some items this has been noted so in blue text next to the price.
